Terminology

This section aims to explain the various terms that will be used throughout the Estimate Model documentation.

Some terms may contain a definition, it will be a list of the properties from which a unique combination defines an individual of that entity. For such entities, an adjustable attribute is one that is static across all revisions but does not create a new entity if changed.

A change is a delta of a collection of attributes from one revision to the next.

Material

Activity

Definition:

Adjustable Attributes:

An activity is the true heart of an estimate, every other entity within a model is derived from its association with an activity.

Attributes:

  • Method
  • Demo
  • Qty

Activity Additional Material

When processed for a model, an activity may have attributes that trigger the need for an additional material such as grout or thinset. These utilize the default waste of the solution for their waste factor.
